GREAT LIGHT FOR THE PRICE!!Rating:

OK folks,
let me embark on off by contending that I am a flashlight afficionado. If you quiz, me with regard to pistols, rifles, knives, or lights…you are now in my world, and I will reply your ears off.
Let me voice that this is a better tiny lamp. I was walking nearby my local “Big Boys Covet Store” (Lowes) and saw this light on sale. I went over to check it out and recognize it, and then kept it on the back of my mind. When I got home, I went to one of my internet hang-outs (CandlePowerForum.com) and plugged in the light for many feedback, or retells. Evidently it was very very riposteed concerning. So I went back the next day (or was it IMMEDIATELY?) to purchase the small lamp. I gotta admit, I was not disappointed.
Since I have gotten the lamp, it is my inexperienced ruck sack companion. I will not leave to a mountain trek without it. And when I am not out in the bush, it stays on top of my reloading bench in case of an accident blackout…or an earthquake. (I live in the San Freakcisco Bay Area…

I bought this Rayovac latern off of Amazon after reading tons of recites and visiting many other sites about the capability of this goods. I did happen to grant this lantern it’s full fledged test at a bivouac out this past 4th of July weekend and put it head to head with an additional one lanterns. One of the another lights were Energizer’s 3D cell 12 led Weather Ready from Walmart, the other was a Coleman 8D cell CFL category light, and the third was your basal Coleman propane light. The Rayovac was the greatest contract of the bunch, next was the Energizer, then the CFL Coleman, and lastly the propane lantern.
Now when it came to my shopping there were 2 things that were high on my account. 1st was the glow level. 2nd was the vigor (batteries, fuel, etc.) needed to run the product and the longevity of the vigor (how long could I run it before having to exchange the batteries etc.
Let me run straight through the power and consumption grade. Obviously since the propane light runs on “fire” it did…
A light in the wilderness!Rating:

I was finding for an emergency light that was uncostly, rugged, effective and battery powered. No embark on flame flammable fuel powered device would do. An LED light source is currently the greatest effective. But all I saw used little harden cell batteries or costly exotic hard to locate batteries sometime rechargeable and sometime not rechargeable. I wanted the batteries to be readialy available and able to operate the light for days at a time. After searching the net I ran across the Rayovac Sportsman Xtreme. Looked similar to what I was seeing for. The fact that it was powered by three regular D sized harden cell batteries made a lot of feel and was indubitably complete for the intended utilizes. The rated battery life at full light yield was impressive at 72 hours. And 150 hours of light was potential a lower light setting. Sounded too best to be rigorous so I ordered one.
It arrived in less then 4 days in distinguished condition. I had read reports concerning the battery compartment and h…

I bought this lantern; because when compared to all the anothers that I looked at – it was smaller, lighter, more durable, and used less batteries but provided more light. After using it on a 2 week camping travel – it didn’t let me down.
When we lost “house” power in our RV, I placed it on the kitchen stand to play cards. The incorporate that we traveled together with complained that it was too thoughprovoking. Rather than turn it down to the lower level, I unscrewed the highest and used the bottom hook to hang it upside down from the ceiling. This application provided more than enough light to play cards and view all things else accompanyingin the whole RV. It was no longer “too thoughprovoking”; because it was above inspect grade.
I also hooked it to a tree branch above our picnic table. It provided enough light to cook on the camping stove and eat supper for four. At the terminate of the camping trip, I couldn’t detect any depreciation in battery vigor. The merge that we traveled accompanying has been camping for years, accompanying all generouss of equ…

Pros:
Sturdy, solid, nice rubber grips all around it. Handle is solid also. Surprisingly little footprint also. Very well made unit.
Extremely involving, I was very surprised. Lights up a accommodation similar to a ceiling light! I must 3 of these for the next Hurricane and I can light up the whole home.
Bright and low light mode for battery rescue. Uses 3 D batteries at a time.
You can effortlessly remove the top and dangle the light upside down (there is a built in hook) from anything you can hook it onto. Extreme lighting this way.
3 super animated LED’s, no propane fuel to mess together with. Its nearly as curious as my old Coleman propane light but tons more usable.
Cons:
Very difficult at times to derive the battery cover back on, read the someone else reports. Very poor create. I think it has to do together with making it water proof which is great but, in the dark I consider it would be nearly impossible to get the cover on, which means no light. Ugh. You have to line up a turning plastic ring inside the light, if its not lined…
